Therapy for life transitions, for the in-between

A new job, a move, a breakup, a baby, a diagnosis, an empty nest, a chapter ending before the next one has a shape. Even changes you chose can leave you unmoored. I offer online therapy for adults and teens 16+ across Washington State navigating transitions of every kind.

What a transition can stir up

Transitions are strange because they're often invisible to other people. From the outside, you got the promotion, you moved to the city, you're finally single, you became a parent. From the inside, the ground is moving. Some of what people bring to me:

Change tends to shake loose whatever wasn't fully settled. That's uncomfortable, and it's also an opening: transitions are when people are most able to become who they actually want to be.

How I work with transitions

We start with what's true right now, without rushing to a plan. Drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), we get curious about the different parts of you with a stake in this change: the one that's excited, the one that's scared, the one that misses what was, the one that's sure you're making a mistake. When those parts feel heard, decisions get clearer and the churn quiets down.

Alongside that, I draw on attachment-based work when the transition is about relationships, somatic tools for the anxiety that lives in the body during uncertainty, and my background in life coaching when you want practical structure for the next step. I'm trauma-informed throughout, because big changes often touch old ground.

What to expect

We begin with a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a fit. Our first full session is a relaxed conversation about what's changing, what you're carrying through it, and what you'd like the other side to look like, even if that's still fuzzy.

Sessions are 50 minutes, weekly or biweekly, held online via secure, HIPAA-compliant video, which means therapy can travel with you if the transition involves a move anywhere in Washington. Some people work with me for a focused season around a change; others stay on as the new chapter takes shape.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) practicing under approved clinical supervision in Washington State, with an additional certificate in life coaching. Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes; I'm an out-of-network provider and provide monthly superbills for possible insurance reimbursement (how that works).
