Why online therapy works
Telehealth is not a lesser version of therapy. Research consistently shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person care for anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and more. What most of my clients notice is that it's simply easier to keep up with, and easier to open up from a place that already feels safe: your couch, your car on a lunch break, a quiet room with your dog nearby.
- No commute, so a 50-minute session takes 50 minutes of your day
- Consistency is easier, which is where most of the progress comes from
- You can meet from anywhere in Washington, including rural and underserved areas
- Privacy: no waiting rooms, no running into someone you know
- Flexible scheduling, with some evening availability upon request
Who I work with online
I work with adults across Washington on anxiety and stress, relationship issues, self-esteem and identity, depression, grief, life transitions, and the lingering effects of difficult past experiences. My approach is IFS-informed, trauma-informed, and grounded in warmth and curiosity, with somatic, DBT-informed, narrative, and attachment-based tools woven in as needed.
I'm LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome clients of every background, identity, and relationship structure. If you're not sure whether what you're dealing with "counts," it does. Reaching out is enough.
How online sessions work
After a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video, we'll schedule an intake session. Before each appointment you'll receive a secure video link; all you need is a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, a decent internet connection, and a private space where you feel comfortable talking.
Sessions are 50 minutes, typically weekly or biweekly. I'm licensed in Washington State, so you'll need to be physically located in Washington during our sessions. If you're traveling out of state, just let me know and we'll adjust.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) practicing under approved clinical supervision in Washington State. Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes; I'm an out-of-network provider and provide monthly superbills you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please note that I am not a crisis practice; if you're in immediate danger, call 911 or call/text 988.
